The Pardoners tale consist of a lot of irony. The Pardoner preaches that greed is the root of evil. The Pardoner also is very selfish with his preaching because he has the trust of the people. He pardons people for brides and is not a very honest man.
The Pardoner says that greed is the root of evil but yet is greedy himself. When the three people from the tavern found the money. They all really wanted to get it for them selfs. They all thought about killing one another, even though they were looking for death to destroy him. The three guys found death but lost to him.
The pardoner is very greedy with his preaching and his pardons. He had people believe his stories cause he knew he had there trust. He took brides from people so he could pardon them and go easy on them as well. He said to be honest and not be greedy, and that it was a sin to be greedy and lie to another one.
To sum up the Pardoner. He was a trusted man with the people and used that trust to be very corrupt and greedy. He lied to people and then told them it was wrong to wrong someone and lie to them.
